Tip Time #23 – How to secure flange bolts when installing a toilet – qcc4you.com – South Jersey

Hello, I am Dave Padua, with Quality Craftsmanship
Construction. And welcome to Tip… Tip Time… I caught myself (okay)… Hello, I am Dave
Padua (give it a minute… okay go ahead)… Hello, I am Dave Padua, with Quality Craftsmanship
Construction. And welcome to Tip Time. Your tip for this week… if you’re working on
a DIY project in your home, and that project happens to be to take out the old toilet and
put in a new toilet. Well whenever the toilet’s in place, and you have the flange bolts sticking
up on each side of that toilet… and you’re tying it down… the bolt just keeps spinning…
that means that it’s out of its proper position. Well here’s your tip: If this is your flange,
which is located on the ground, and you have this groove where the flange bolt gets attached
to… you put the flange bolt in place, and install an extra nut to prevent the flange
bolt from moving. That will insure that that flange bolt will not spin when you’re trying
to secure your toilet. And that is your tip for this week. Until next time, I am Dave
Padua, with Quality Craftsmanship Construction, signing off.
